What Is Canine Bowen Therapy?
Bowen Therapy is an ultra-light fascia manipulation that is designed to tap into the autonomic nervous system and help the body to stop the chronic pain loops that interfere with regular functions. During a Bowen session, there is a series of gentle touches (Bowen Therapy calls these “flicks”) performed along tendons & muscles that coincide with Acupressure Meridians. These flicks send vibrational signals to the brain are immediately followed by rest periods within the session to allow the body & the brain time to communicate & assimilate. The result is a body, mind & emotional relaxation that opens the door for increased wellness.
Due to the planned rest periods during a Bowen session, this is the ideal modality to get multiple horses done during the same session. Group Bowen Sessions are encouraged and are designed to be a win-win for everyone: You get a better rate because we are able to get more horses done during the same amount of time and most importantly the horses benefit since lower rates are offered with the intent to increase session frequency. ***Group sessions are not available for dogs at this time but ask about our Canine ½ hour session packages.
Lilly and her massage therapy has been amazing for my senior horse Elvis. I can tell if he hasn’t had a session with her in a few days. He’s really stiff and moving slowly. Not eating as well and in general not as comfortable as I would like for him to be. So I now keep him on a regular schedule with her. It makes his life better! Thanks Lilly!!
Lillian is incredible. Her dedication to and focus on rescue animals, is inspiring. Both of our rescues had behavioral challenges and Lillian made a significant impact. Better than any trainer out there!
My horse loves Lil’s therapeutic work. She dotes on all of the animals that she comes in contact with and they show their appreciation of her time, touch, and attention!
Comment: Thank you! You have such a great crew. It’s always my pleasure to work with them.
